I come from a smaller town just south of Asheville, North Carolina. Plenty of my graduating class did just what their parents did after high school, go straight into the work force. Some even dropped out. Now, there will always be the one exception that actually does do well, significantly better than those who made the same educational choice as him/her. I would much rather complete another 4 or 6 years of schooling, so in the long run I can make so much more money than that of my graduating classmates. A high school diploma will only get you so far. That level of education is just the foundation of a higher education. Take the time and push yourself to do better.

Is Education the Key?
I think education is the most important aspect for getting a job. A higher education, such as UNC Charlotte, provides that "Higher Knowledge" that high school does not. I think the video was very inspiring, but unrealistic. He listed off plenty of people who never completed a higher degree, and some who didn't even finish high school. All of those examples are extremes. He didn't list off statistics of all the other "Normal" people who decided to drop out or not continue onto college. I Googled some stats for the average annual/lifetime income based on the individuals final educational degree. Here is what I found
